Create new area
For open/create new area just move mouse cursor to any angle of any area, and, when cursor change own icon for crosshair, drag it to sideways. In software versions until 2.80 you need move cursor not for any angle, but for left bottom angle or for right top angle, where drawed small triangle. If during drag you will hold Shift, then new area will open in new window.
Change area size
For change area size move cursor to panel boundary, and, when cursor change own icon for left and right arrows, drag it to needed side.
Close area
For close area move cursor to panel boundary, and, when cursor change own icon for left and right arrows, right mouse button click and in context menu choose option Join areas.
Swap areas
If you will hold Ctrl during cursor drag on other area, then you can swap areas. Since version 2.80 you can move cursor to panel boundary, and, when cursor change own icon for left and right arrows, call context menu and choose Swap areas item.
